MATO D2D policy framework
This page explains the passenger, platform, payment, privacy, and journey rules that apply while using MATO D2D services.
Journey tracking is used to show route progress, ETA, next stop, delay status, bus departed status, approaching destination, journey completion, safety escalation, rescue mode, and passenger support context.
By using live tracking, family tracking, smart drop alerts, QR journey links, or passenger dashboard tracking, the passenger consents to journey-related location and status processing for the active booking.
Family tracking should be limited to safe journey visibility such as route progress, ETA, and journey status. It should not expose payment details, wallet ledger, internal staff notes, raw GPS logs, or unrelated passenger data.
Driver, crew, vehicle, GPS, and operational events may be processed to operate the journey, provide support, verify delays, calculate reliability, and maintain operational safety.
Tracking accuracy may be affected by GPS device availability, network coverage, battery, provider outages, traffic, manual updates, hardware condition, or operational interruption. ETA and location are assistance tools, not absolute guarantees.
Passengers may contact support for tracking-related privacy requests. Some tracking and journey records may still be retained where required for safety, legal, dispute, audit, or operational reasons.
